The Holiday are about GATHERING –>> Gathering together with loved ones, family, friends and people who have captured your hearts and even their creatures. ( who doesnt love furry friends) Its about exploring and sharing the universal spoken language that is Dinner. Dining together. Breaking bread. Feasting. Whatever you want to call it- every human does it. It is how we come together. It is how we hang our hats, open our hearts and feed our souls. Thanksgiving is one of those Holidays that wraps up every nostalgic feeling I have about these ->> GATHERINGS<<– and puts it all into one night, one feast, a Turkey and perhaps five stuffing varieties. I love it.
This year I am all about COZY. Maybe since I was raised in Southern Califonia, where the sun shines almost everyday….I long for these Autumnal holidays to be more of something out of a wooded fairy-tale. Replete with evergreen trees, ominous stormy clouds, a crackling fire and other foraged finds to dress the table.
